Rob and his band
"Austin Gibbs and the States" just won the Tempe Music Festival in Tempe Arizona this weekend. Where he got the ROCK talent I will never know. Certainly he did not get it from his grandfather (me). But we are proud of him and wish him well. They will be going to Irvine California next week to play in a music (questionable) festival there. As anyone can tell I am more of a Josh Groban type fan and not a "rocker".
HERE IS OUR STAR
His mother told us that when they won they were to open for "Fergie". I thought Fergie was the Dutches of York? Then when they told me it was some popular singer I realized how far out of it this grandpa really was. They then changed for them to open for "Gin Blossoms" and I figured that was just a breach of the Word of Wisdom! Oh well I will never be into rock stuff.
