"ROCK STAR ROB"

Rob and his band "Austin Gibbs and the States" just won the Tempe Music Festival in Tempe Arizona this weekend. Where he got the ROCK talent I will never know. Certainly he did not get it from his grandfather (me). But we are proud of him and wish him well. They will be going to Irvine California next week to play in a music (questionable) festival there. As anyone can tell I am more of a Josh Groban type fan and not a "rocker".

HERE IS OUR STAR

His mother told us that when they won they were to open for "Fergie". I thought Fergie was the Dutches of York? Then when they told me it was some popular singer I realized how far out of it this grandpa really was. They then changed for them to open for "Gin Blossoms" and I figured that was just a breach of the Word of Wisdom! Oh well I will never be into rock stuff.

THE WORM TURNS 2

Here is our birthday boy. The "Worm" is two years old today. For those who are not aware I have dubbed him "The Worm" because he has wormed his way right into our hearts. Today he is two years old and is into everything, including my computer. I let him have at my computer just so I could take his picture and even then it was very difficult to get him to look at the camera. We tend the boy every school day and then reluctantly we have to give him back to his mother when school is out. He is kinda talking now....maybe just babbling. But he can say OK and some other expressions to let us know what he wants. And what he wants Grandma gives him! He is a personification of the old saying, "If momma says no ask grandma"!!

Here is the worm:

In case anyone wants to know we are great grandparents. Just ask any of our grandchildren and they will tell you we are great!! But in May or early June we will truly become great grandparents with the birth of Cameron and Cecia's little baby in Mesa. Zion is growing.

"Feaster Feaster"

For many years we have had a family tradition where we get together a couple of days before Easter for a family fun day. Somewhere, somehow, it got named Feaster Feaster. We have a feast and much candy. This year we had all the family (that live here in our area) together. We did a "Pizza Run" and got 6 large pizza's. When we got home and opened the boxes they disappeared like magic. They scarfed them up in a few minutes. Karen played bingo games with candy as the prizes. Here are a few pictures of our Feaster Feaster:

In a few days Heath will be two years old. We gave him a birthday present at our party. It is a table and chairs with "Cars" on it. He is a fan of the movie CARS.

We Were drafted

Well Karen talked me into going to the local caucus meeting here in our area. And guess what? We were drafted as delegates to the Weber County Republican Convention!!! I used to be involved and was at one time a Legislative District Chairman. I should have known better. But we will serve and do our duty as loyal citizens.

Hope all of you went to your caucus meetings and got elected too!
God Bless America

Grand Entry

Here I am with the first entry to Bob's Blog. Whatever that might be. This is the result of my youngest daughter's efforts to get me here. What goes on from this point on is anyone's guess. I don't have much going on but will give it a try.

Welcome to the Bob Blog!
